Introduce yourself…

Account Manager – Emerging Film makers at Panalux. My role is finding new talent, supporting emerging film makers with lights, knowledge and finding gaffers for young DoPs.

"OleWho or what has inspired you to be involved in making film/moving image?

The Third Man.

How has Brighton and Hove influenced your work?

Only in the way that I need to travel to London to work as there is nothing in Brighton that pays enough and is based around film, as far as I am aware. But living by the coast is something I would not like to give up.

What advice would you give to creative people seeking work or wanting to develop their careers in the industry?

Be a people’s person, talk to anyone and learn from them, become friends with people in the industry and soon you will find very helpful people, be determined and don’t give up too quickly. It’s a bumpy ride, especially when you are freelance.

What’s the most interesting part of your job?

Meeting new talented DoPs.

What’s the most challenging aspect of your job?

Prioritizing between last minute jobs.

Dead or alive, who are the top three people you’d most like to collaborate with, and why?

Michael Hanneke, Charlie Brooker, Jane Campion.

If you could only take one film away with you on a desert island, what would it be and why?

A Charlie Chaplin film to keep me upbeat.
